Project Description
Client
Super Air.
Super Air specialises in fixed-wing aerial application of solid fertiliser and lime.
Challenge
All Super Air topdressing planes utilise cutting-edge SpreadSmart Technology to apply fertiliser at a variable rate. Super Air needed something attention-grabbing to inform and educate farmers about SpreadSmart.
Solution
Aerial Vision filmed SpreadSmart technology in action out in the field (and the air), and worked with the client to craft an informative promotional video. Super Air had a specific brief in mind, and Aerial Vision shot the footage required using a range of gear.
There were some tricky issues to deal with. For example, how do you capture fertiliser coming out of the belly of a plane that’s 800 metres in the air? A GoPro stuck to the belly of the plane with duct tape, of course!
We shot all the footage, and oversaw the video production for the client, meeting a very tight deadline. We didn’t edit the video ourselves – we outsourced this and also chose the music and organised voice-over artists. We managed the changes the client wanted and made sure a final product was ready on time.
The 2015 Mystery Creek Feildays was the perfect place to reveal the SpreadSmart technology to farmers. The video was tiled over four large TV screens at a pavilion during the Fieldays.
